MUSIC - Level 1
Full year course - Prerequisites: Performance on a musical instrument for two years in a group situation Entry is at the discretion of the Director of Music
Course Description
This is a course consisting of solo and group performance, score reading and analysis of major works combined with general musical knowledge. *Solo performance 91090 is compulsory. Students will all be expected to prepare for 91093 but withdrawal may be available. *A selection of standards will be offered.

Course Description
This course consists of performance, writing music, arranging music, investigating a New Zealand music topic. Students may undertake individualised programmes at the discretion of the Director of Music. *A selection of standards will be offered.

Course Description
This course consists writing music, understanding how other composers write music, arranging music for a group, music reading skills and researching a music topic. Students are expected to be able to work independently to practice, analyse and perfect their own work.
*Students will follow an individualised programme at the discretion of the Director of Music.
